The Course:

The course route will be identical as last year. It is a challenging 7 mile loop complete with rocks, mud, short rolling hills, waterfall, etc.

You will have 1/4 mile of asphalt and 1/8 mile of open field before entering the trailhead.

The course is extremely well marked making it next to impossible to get lost.

Average Temp: low 35 - high 55

There is a playground for the kids located close to the start/finish line.

Packet P/U:     
Race numbers, ChampionChips, Shirts, and packets available on Friday November 30th at Omega Sports 1451-D University Dr. Burlington, NC
27215 from 3-8 PM. Please bring a photo ID to claim your goodies.

Packet Pick Up Directions: 
From I-85/40 take exit # 140 and go north ¼ mile, turn left in to the shopping center.  Omega sports is located on the right side close to Old Navy.

Packets will also be available on race day, at Cedarock Park starting at 7:00 AM. Please come early and allow ample time to get to the starting line. The cannon fires at 9:00 AM sharp. Yes, I said “cannon”.

Aid Stations:    
1.5, 4 and 6 mile marks. Loop course.

Awards:          
Cross Creek Pottery, Seagrove, NC  (Nice! like the shirts)

Top 3 Overall Male/Female
Masters
Grandmasters
Top 3 each age group, Male/Female: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, etc…
Total: 133 awards.

Post race refreshments, live entertainment, awards, and door prizes under the tent.  Yes, we will have plenty of Advil this year.

Fees:               
7 mile or 14 mile:  $25 before November 10th and $35 after November 10th.  Please, no changes on your choice of distance.

Registration will close when we reach 700 entrants or November 26th, whichever comes first.

Proceeds benefit Alamance County Recreation & Parks.  The ’06 proceeds funded new
entrance signs for the Park. These should be in place by race day for your viewing
pleasure. Thank You !

Rules/Trail Etiquette

Absolutely no exchanging of bib numbers. Registered runners only. Numbers must be
worn on the front and visible at all times. You must yield to any runner who announces
his/her intention to pass. When passing another runner say “Passing on your right”
(or left) when there is room to safely pass.

No Littering                              No Dogs                              No Bandits
